Change password

You change your password when you are logged in via our website 1. Press the icon in the top right corner and select "Account settings" 2. Click on "Account" in the left menu and "My details" at the top 3. Click on "Change password". Enter your current password, the new password and confirm 4. Your password is now changed

Change payment method

For business customers there are currently five different payment methods: invoice, e-mail invoice, card payment, e-invoice and EDI invoice. For private accounts, you can choose between invoice, card payment and e-invoice: if you choose card payment, your card will be debited automatically when it is time to pay. If you have chosen an invoice, it will be sent by post to the address specified in your account. You activate e-invoice via your bank when you pay a paper invoice. Important: If you change your payment method, the change will only take effect from the next payment period. To change your payment method, do the following: 1. Log in to the website 2. Click on the icon in the top right corner and select "Account settings" 3. Select "Subscriptions" in the left menu and "Payment" at the top 4. Tick the payment method you want to use and fill in the information, or update if you have a new card, for example 5. Press "Continue"

How do I expand my storage space?

In order to extend your storage space, you must be logged in to the website. Please note that not all subscriptions offer the possibility to extend the storage space. In some cases, you may first need to switch to a new subscription type. If you would like assistance in changing your subscription type, please contact our support team at support@storegate.com 1. Log in to the website 2. Click on the icon in the top right corner and select "Account settings" 3. Click on "Subscriptions" in the left menu and "Price plan" at the top 4. Choose a new size of storage space in the drop-down menuFinish with "Upgrade".

I want to cancel my account, how do I do that?

To cancel the service, for security reasons, you need to either do it when you are logged in to your account or send a signed cancellation notice by post. Termination via the web: 1. Log in with your account details on the website www.storegate.com 2. Click on the "Account" icon in the top right corner and select "Account settings" 3. Then click on "Subscriptions" in the left menu and on "Other" 4. Click on the "Continue" button and follow the instructions Written termination: If you wish to give written notice by post, please use the following form which you can download here. You can also write a letter of termination, stating that it is for termination, date, username/customer number, name and signature. Send the notice by post. Can I buy more licenses or upgrade the storage space?

You can buy more licences for your account or upgrade the storage space if you need to, no matter what type of account you have. Do this: 1. Log in to the website 2. Click on the icon in the top right corner and select "Account settings" 3. Click on "Subscriptions" in the left menu and on "Price plan" at the top. 4. Select whether you want to extend Backup Licenses or Sync Licenses in the lists 5. Press "Update" to confirm If you don't see any options for upgrading, keep in touch and we'll help you.

How do I change my e-mail address?

You can easily change your email address once you are logged into your account via the website. Log on to https://web.storegate.com/ 1. Then press the icon in the top right corner and select "Account settings" 2. Select "Account" in the left menu and "My details" at the top 3. Click on the "Edit" button and enter your password 4. Then change your email address

I want to change my username, how do I do that?

How do I change the billing address?

You can change your billing address at any time. To do this: 1. Log in to the website. 2. Click on the old man in the upper right corner. 3. Click on "Account settings". 4. Click on "Subscriptions" in the left menu and "Payment" at the top. 5. Fill in your address and click on "Save". If you don't see "Payment", it's probably because you're a sub-user and don't have permission to change the address. Contact your account administrator. It may also be because you are logging in and have created the account via a Storegate partner company. Contact the reseller/partner or create a ticket here for assistance.

What is the notice period for my subscription?

The contractual notice period is 30 days before the next payment period. The current payment period is presented on your invoice.

Invoice fee

Storegate offers several different payment options. For paper invoices and e-mail invoices (companies only), we charge an invoice fee to cover the administrative costs of invoicing. The invoice fee for paper invoices is SEK 49 for private individuals and SEK 69 (ex VAT) for business customers per paper invoice. For e-mail invoices, the invoice fee is SEK 29 (ex VAT) per e-mail invoice. Card payments, e-invoices and EDI invoices (companies only) are completely free of charge on Storegate. To change your payment method, follow this guide. Frequently asked questions about invoice fees - Is it allowed to charge an invoice fee? Yes, if the fee covers administrative costs. At Storegate, the fee is used, for example, for administration, printing, enveloping and postage. The invoice fee must also be specified in the contract. You can find the contract for the service here - Can I avoid an invoice fee? Yes, if you pay by card or e-invoice. For companies, there is also the option of an e-invoice or EDI/Swedish invoice.

Request for access authorisation

This article applies only to: account holders of business services via Storegate Storegate has a strict policy and technical (physical) access control that prohibits and restricts employee access to customer data except in rare support cases. As an administrator and account holder at Storegate, you can request and control how Storegate support technicians have access to your account and its data via a so-called access authorization. The access warrant describes your request with an expiry date and access to the account is removed once the support technician has resolved the issue. See Storegate Security for more information on how Storegate handles your data. Example of a request for access authorisation 1. A user in your account has a problem with Storegate. 2. When an initial troubleshooting is completed and the issue cannot be resolved, create a support request with Storegate support. 3. A support technician will review your case and if he/she needs access to the account to resolve the issue, we will ask for an access authorisation. 4. Once you as an administrator have approved and submitted the access authorisation, the authorisation is forwarded for approval by the responsible manager at Storegate. 5. The responsible manager gives the support technician an approval and you get help to solve the problem. 6. The power of attorney expires when the matter is resolved or at the latest when the power of attorney expires.

Error message during two-step verification?

In case of an error message about an invalid code during authentication, check the following: 1. Please check that you are using the correct code (as shown in the mobile app). 2. Try again (with new code) 3. Check that the clock on your phone shows the correct time. If the clock on your phone is not correct, you need to change the clock setting manually on your phone.

2-step verification with Yubikey from Yubico with Storegate TOTP

Yubikey is a small key that you can attach to your computer or mobile phone to increase security when logging in to various services. With Yubikey, you can use 2-step verification, which means you need both a password and a one-time code to log in. The Storegate TOTP is a feature that allows the Yubikey to be used as a disposable code generator for the Storegate. To activate Yubikey you need to have: 1. A key (Yubikey) from Yubico 2. Yubico Authenticator app for Windows, macOS, iOS or Android 3. Activated 2-step verification on your Storegate account From now on, you will need the Yubickey plugged in every time you generate a code in the Yubico Authenticator to log in to your Storegate account. This way you get an extra layer of protection for your data on Storegate. If you don't have a Yubico key fob, you can also use Microsoft Authenticator or any authentication app that supports the TOTP protocol.

Enable 2-step verification in Storegate

2-step verification or multi-factor authentication is a security measure that requires users to provide two forms of identification to access their account. This helps protect against unauthorized access, as it makes it more difficult for attackers to gain access to an account. Storegate recommends this feature for all users and offers it free of charge as an additional security measure. For Solo account (single user accounts): 1. Download Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator to your phone or any other app that supports TOTP-based one-time codes. 2. Log in to your account and go to Account Settings. 3. Select Enable 2-step verification and click Start 4. Enter your account password 5. Scan the QR code with your Authenticator app and enter the code that appears in the app. 6. Save the recovery code (Important!) in a safe place and click Activate. 7. You are now ready! For Multi-accounts (multi-user accounts): 1. Log in with the Admin account and follow the steps above for the single account. 2. Next, go to Team settings in the left-hand menu 3. Click on the button enable 2-step verification for sub-users 4. Mobile BankID, Freja eID and SITHS in Storegate

Storegate makes it easy for you, your users and your customers to log in to the service. To make it even easier, we offer BankID, Freja eID and SITHS as methods for logging in to the service, signing envelopes, remote ID control and access to protected public links. These methods of identification can be useful when you want to be absolutely sure that the person you are sharing information with is actually the person they claim to be. To log in to the service - BankID, Freja eID+ and SITHS apply to the Storegate Safe Box account type and customized solutions(contact us for more information) For signing envelopes - BankID or Freja eID+ are required and the Digital Signing service is activated - BankID or Freja eID+ required for signing the confidentiality agreement For access to protected public links - BankID , Freja eID+ or SITHS are required and the Share files with eID service is enabled For remote ID checks - BankID, Freja eID+ or SITHS required for ID verification and ID verification service enabled As an alternative to the above, we also offer login with username, password, 2-step verification and Entra ID. Activation of Share files with eID To activate the Share Files with eID service on an existing account, log in to your account via the homepage, go to Account Settings, and under Subscriptions -> Price Plan, check Share with eID and confirm the change.
