How to share files and folders via public links, sharing with BankID verification and file collection.

eID verification on Public Links

If you have chosen to purchase the additional service Share files with eID, there are 2 different ways to protect the public link: 1. If you do not know the social security number of the person you want to share the public link, select password and identification with eID. Now the recipient will have to enter the unique password you have set and then scan a mobile QR code to access the public link and its content: 1. If you know the recipient's full social security number, select eID from the list. Now the recipient needs to identify themselves directly via mobile QR code to access the public link and its content:

How do I create Public Links to share files and folders?

By creating Public Links, it is possible to share files and folders with people who do not have a Storegate account. Create a Public Link by following the steps below: 1. Log in to your account at www.storegate.com 2. Select the file/folder you want to share by checking the checkbox or hovering over the file to bring up the Public Link icon. 3. Tap the icon in the menu or on the file/folder. 4. The dialog now shows more options with the possibility to make settings for the link, such as protection with eID verification (additional service, company accounts only), password and number of downloads. 5. Click on "Create public link" 6. Now the link is created, here you can choose to copy it to the clipboard or send by email to the person you want to share the file/folder with. If you are using a password you can choose to send the password only by SMS. 7. Send the link to the recipient. Done

Collect files with the File Submission feature

With the File Submission feature, you can easily collect files in a folder via Public Link from your Storegate account. Start by clicking on the blue plus sign and select "File requests". Name the folder to be distributed. Press Next. Now the folder is created. With the additional service "Share with BankID" (business accounts only) you can require BankID login from the recipient for extra security. Under Settings you can, for example, protect the link with a password, allow the recipient to open in Office Online, stop access after a selected date, etc. Save! Now everything is ready and you can copy or send the link directly to the people you want to submit files to you.

Share folder with internal users

Share Internally If you want to easily view or share a folder with, for example, a colleague or other person using your joint account, there's a feature for just that. To use it, simply select the folder you want to share, and in the context menu that pops up, click on this icon: When you click on this, the internal link to the folder is saved as a clipboard, which means you can paste it wherever you want, and you can then follow it by pasting it into your web browser. For example, you can paste it into an email or send the address in a chat program to the recipient, who can then quickly access what you want to share.
